CMH Hospice to host bereavement support group classes
Citizens Memorial Hospice will host bereavement support group classes starting Tuesday, March 5, at 9 a.m. at LimeBank, CMH Community Room 2, 1630 S. Killingsworth Ave., in Bolivar.
The support group sessions will run for eight consecutive weeks, open to anyone affected by the loss of a loved one, and offered free of charge.
According to Valerie Noblitt, CMH director of home care services, the support group’s goals are to educate participants about grief and loss, help them develop coping and adapting skills, and provide emotional support.
Led by CMH Hospice chaplains Austin McCrickard and Tony Rankin, and counselors Terry Warren, LMSW and Angel Townsend, MSW, alongside hospice coordinator Connie Duryee, the sessions will cover various topics including understanding the grief experience, managing complex emotions, coping with changes, preparing for holidays and special occasions, and finding meaning after loss.
Pre-registration is requested. For more information or to register, please contact Duryee at 417-326-3585.
