Susan Lenz receives servant leadership award from CMH

Susan Lenz, SLP, has been honored with the 2024 Troy Pinon Servant Leader Award in recognition of her passion for serving residents and co-workers. Lenz is a speech-language pathologist at Citizens Memorial Healthcare Facility in Bolivar, which is part of the Citizens Memorial Health Care Foundation.

Lenz has worked at CMH for 29 years and has played a key role in training countless new speech-language pathologists.

“Susan displays the utmost dedication, quality, integrity and service to her fellow speech-language pathologists,” said Ellis Hall, director of rehabilitation services. “Her expertise in serving patients with dementia and cognitive disorders makes a big difference in outcomes for these patients and their families.”

In addition to patient care, Lenz coordinates speech therapy services across multiple facilities, ensuring that both her co-workers and patients receive the highest level of care.

The Troy Pinion Servant Leader Award was established in 2023 to honor the late Troy Pinon, a lead physical therapist at the Hermitage Rehabilitation Clinic for 25 years. The award is presented annually to an employee from CMH Rehabilitation Services who exemplifies servant leadership through purpose, dedication, excellence and integrity, and who serves their community.
