General surgeon earns board certification
Rachel Pruett, M.D., a general surgeon at CMH General Surgery Clinic, has earned board certification from the American Board of Surgery.
To achieve board certification, Dr. Pruett completed five years of residency training and passed a series of examinations assessing her skills and knowledge in general surgery.
Dr. Pruett graduated from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences College of Medicine in Little Rock and completed a general surgery residency at Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood, Florida.
In addition to general surgery, she has special interests in thyroid and parathyroid surgery, dialysis access procedures including peritoneal dialysis catheter placement, AV fistula and AV graft, and the diagnosis and treatment of varicose veins, peripheral artery disease and deep vein thrombosis.
