Citizens Memorial Hospital opened new spaces in the patient tower in phases throughout April.

As part of the transition to the new patient tower, entrance names will be changing. The former main hospital entrance is now the West Canopy, and the new hospital entrance at the patient tower is the Main Entrance.

Open Now

• Emergency Department: First floor of the patient tower.
• Main Entrance first floor: Cafeteria, DJBean Coffee Bar, Gift Garden Gift Shop, information desk and patient registration.
• Main Entrance second floor: Intensive Care Unit and Medical Surgical Unit (patient rooms).
• Main Entrance third floor: The Birth Place.
• New patient flow:
  • Surgery and radiology patients, including MRI and Saturday cath lab procedures, use the Main Entrance and register in the tower.
  • Lab patients continue to use the West Entrance and register in the Laboratory Department.
  • Patients scheduled for cath lab procedures, echocardiograms or nuclear medicine stress tests should continue to register at the Heart Institute Clinic.
• West Canopy information desk remains open.
• CMH Infusion Center is open in the hospital. Use the West Canopy.

May

• Infusion Center and Cardiac Rehab patients begin using the Community Rooms entrance.
• Community Rooms entrance reopens for patient and employee use.
• Community Rooms remain closed until fall during renovation.
